This blog is dedicated to the adventures of a group of motorcyclists that loves to ride, watch racing in any way shape or form, and finding the best "local" eateries. We are not a club, not asking for dues, or sponsored by a dealer. We are a small group that gets together weekly to talk about anything and everything related to motorcycles. Anyone is welcome to join us even if you’re without a bike currently.

May 3rd and 4th Slimey Crud Run
Mark and I tripped up to Madison to attend the Spring Slimey Crud Run. The weather was cool, but dry so there was a great turn out. This year we went up on Saturday to see the Vintage Torque Fest in Dubuque (see earlier post). We also found out that the SCG has a movie night on Saturday night. Only in Wisconsin do you have a theater with dedicated motorcycle parking, playing all motorcycle movies, and a bar inside the theater serving Spotted Cow beer.

It was a great tri. Saw a lot of bikes, met some new people, and we took back roads for most of the trip so the ride home was very good. Stopped in Prarie Du Chien and filled up with gas and New Glarus Beer. Mark learned one of the reasons I ride a GS. It easily holds all you need for a short trip and a case of Wisconsin beer to stock the garage fridge.
May 3rd Vintage Tourque Fest Dubuque
Mark and I went to the Vintage Torque Fest at the Dubuque Fairgrounds. We only had a couple of hours to check it out as we were on our way to Madison and the Slimey Crud Run. We definitely could have spent more time there.

The cars and bikes ranged from show cars to rat rods and everything in between, but all cool. Even had a barber shop giving Pompador haircuts. The live bands were playing at 11:00 and dishing up good old rockabilly and rock music. Even had a Pin-Up girl contest and flattrack races. Again definitely worth dedicating some more time next year to see the show.
