TT Racing originated with a group of about 8 Iowa motocross racers in the late 1970's. While we managed to put a few trophies on the shelf the reality was that the TT in TT Racing stood for "town to town", "track to track", and "tavern to tavern".
Over the years many of us had limited our riding or had quit all together. The spark that got TT Touring going again was a 2002 trip to Road America to watch the AMA Superbike races. From that first trip it has grown into an annual trip that has riders from Michigan, Kentucky, and Iowa participating. Over the last couple of years it has spanned generations with several father/son and father/daughter riding combinations.
As we have matured (yea right) the racing has become less frequent with only a few track days and a drag racing contingent thus it seemed fitting to change the name to TT Touring. Though after the races (or whatever other excuse we can find to ride) we have been known to have a few adult beverages in the hotel parking lot.
We have riders of all types and all kinds of bikes that try to get together weekly for a short ride or just to meet somewhere to talk bikes. Anyone is welcome to join in or to suggest a trip. Even if you are without a bike currently feel free to meet up with us.
